Warden Hill Junior School

School Council

The School Council representatives are elected by their classes at the start of every school year. There are two representatives from each class, a boy and a girl.  Pupils have to be nominated, make a speech to their class and then the class vote to make their selection.  This process links to the schools delivery of British Values in promoting the importance of a democracy as a fundamental British Value.

The School Council meet at least three times every half term. There is an Officer Team made up of the Year 6 representatives which includes a Chair Person, Vice Chair Person, Secretary, Venue Manager, Poster Manager and an Administrator.  The School Council are supported by Mrs Bithrey and Miss Ingham.

The School Council undertake some charity fund raising every term, take an active role with our Anti-Bullying Practices and represent the views of their classes by bringing suggestions and grievances to meetings for discussion.

School Councillors wear yellow badges and can be easily spotted on the playground and around school. They make an important contribution to the life of our school by ensuring that all our voices can be heard.
